Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 

In this tour, we emphasize the work with local partners to ensure our clients visit and learn to love a part of the Guartelá State Park that is very unique. Our clients take part in tours guided by locals who have been trained to work with tourists and to protect the nature of this area. For private properties, like Salto Puxa Nervos, tourism is a new industry and it is important to make it profitable and locally run in order for them to keep the forests and water in this region untouched, instead of growing soy or using the fields for cattle rising.
